Relocation within the EU has never been easier! With the European Directive for Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications your qualification is automatically recognised in all EU member states, No working or travelling visa requirements and indeed the reopening of borders after the Covid pandemic.
Unfortunately, I have been made aware of some ‘scam’ agencies throughout Europe from some lovely nurses we have been speaking with over the last few months.
These agencies offer relocation support, jobs on arrival and indeed a ‘lump some of money’ when you begin your new role in a different country. Before they are able to work with you they require a down payment for their services.Under no circumstance should you have to pay a recruitment company for their services, it is not how the process works.
We have been made aware of three cases where nurses have paid up to €2000 after being sold the “package” and then were left high and dry with no communication after the payment. This matter has gone to the local police who are investigating the situation and we have been informed that this is unfortunately a regular occurrence across different sectors where people have been cheated out of money all in the hopes of starting a better life for themselves.
We here at Clarity would like to highlight this to everyone! And above all stress that under no circumstance should a recruitment agency ask/expect a downpayment for their services.
